Hotel du Vieux-Château is located at the heart of Aiguines. This hillside village perched above the lac de Sainte Croix rises on the western slopes of the Margès mountains. Overlooked by the chapel of Saint-Peter, the village’s narrow streets lined with old houses, terraces and vaulted passageways stretch all the way down to the banks of Grand Canyon du Verdon. A private castle flanked by four pepper-pot towers covered with colourful varnished tiles rises a short distance from the village. It houses a wood turning museum where visitors can admire fine examples of local wood turning as well as discover the traditional craft of making studded boules.

Aiguines is right at the heart of the Provence of dreams and nature-bound pursuits. The shores of the lac de Sainte-Croix are less than four miles away, the picturesque walks in the Gorges du Verdon (on the left bank) are only 5 miles away, the famed village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie under 10 miles away and the wonderful Provençal nature is all around you.

How to get there?

From the A8 motorway, take the Draguignan exit, then the D557 via Flayosc and Aups towards Moustiers Ste Marie. At the entrance to Moustiers, turn towards Gorges du Verdon then Aiguines.

From Marseille, take the A7 motorway then the A51 towards Sisteron. Take the Manosque exit and drive along the D907 up to Gréoux-les-Bains then Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. At the entrance to Moustiers, turn towards Gorges du Verdon then Aiguines.
